The manner in which we navigate these determines not just our business success, but also the extent of our Kingdom impact. The book of Acts, particularly Acts 3:12 and 4:19, provides profound insights into seizing opportunities and overcoming challenges. ## A Moment of Opportunity  Peter, having healed a man lame from birth, stood before a crowd of awestruck onlookers. This moment, described in [Acts 3:12](https://www.bible.com/bible/116/ACT.3.12.NLT), was an opportunity – an open door to showcase God’s power and grace. He didn’t let it slip away unnoticed but seized it to testify of Christ’s resurrection power. ## A Moment of Challenge However, with opportunity often comes opposition. In [Acts 4:19,](https://www.bible.com/bible/116/ACT.4.19.NLT) Peter and John found themselves before the rulers, elders, and teachers of the law, defending the source of the healing power. It was a direct confrontation, an obstacle that threatened to quell the fledgling movement. ## Your Moments Await For Christian business leaders today, these two moments - of opportunity and challenge - are as real as the profit and loss statements, as tangible as the growth metrics. Every business season is sprinkled with moments where opportunities to showcase God’s excellence arise and where challenges to our faith and principles confront us. ## Positioning for Excellence Invokes: - **Vigilance:** Like Peter, be vigilant. Recognize opportunities cloaked in everyday interactions, decisions, and transactions. **Every business decision is a canvas to paint God’s grace, power, and wisdom.** - **Courage:** Face challenges with the courage embedded in the truth that **our businesses are God’s and that He’s the ultimate source of our wisdom and strength**. - **Community:** Surround yourself with fellow believers in the marketplace. Draw strength, insights, and encouragement from [a community that understands the intricate dance between faith and business.](https://fcci.org) - Growth: Embrace both opportunities and obstacles as platforms for growth. **Every seized opportunity expands your influence; every confronted challenge strengthens your faith and character.** Positioning for Excellence isn’t a passive wait; it’s an active engagement with every facet of business from a standpoint of faith. It’s making decisions rooted in Biblical principles, seizing opportunities to display God’s excellence, and facing challenges with divine wisdom and courage.
