Seeking Wisdom for the Christian Business Leader: Proverbs 2

It's important to remember the wisdom found in Proverbs 2:

"Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are deceitful."

In today's world, it's easy to get caught up in leading a successful business and lose sight of what's truly important. But as believers, we are called to seek wisdom and use it to guide our decisions and actions.

One way to do this is by seeking out mentors or trusted advisors who can offer guidance and wisdom from their own experiences.

As Proverbs 2:6-8 says, "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones."

By surrounding ourselves with people who are grounded in their faith and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from, we can gain valuable insights and make better decisions for both ourselves and our businesses. (Like those you can find in an FCCI Business Leadership Group!)

But it's not just about seeking out wisdom from others – it's also about cultivating it within ourselves.

Proverbs 2:10-11 tells us, "For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you."

By regularly seeking out opportunities to learn and grow, whether through reading, studying, or attending events, we can strengthen our own wisdom and discernment. The FCCI CONNECT app is a great tool to help.

It's also important to remember that wisdom is not just about making smart business decisions – it's also about living a life that is pleasing to God.  It's easy to get caught up in the temptations and distractions of the world, but by staying grounded in our faith and seeking wisdom, we can avoid being led astray and instead live a life that is honoring to God.

It's vital that we seek out wisdom and use it to guide our actions and decisions. By seeking out other leaders, cultivating our own understanding, and staying grounded in our faith, we can make choices that not only benefit our businesses, but also honor God.

The team at FCCI is always here to help, and being in relationship with other Christian Business Leaders is a great way to find the encouragement and equipping you need to lead a company for Christ.

Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI) is a global movement of servant leaders who help each other lead companies for Christ.
